Slipping into Slumber

Fairy, fairy in the night
Whisk me off to dream’s delight

Holding off the ghosts and ghouls
Wetting my pillow with sapping drools

Lift me up and send me there
Over the clouds and fluffy fair

As my body rests, my minds at play
Even at night, seizing the day

As the howling wind rattles my keep
You will find me only but sound asleep

The duvet weights down on my nestled chest
My body smiles, deep in rest

So very very hold me tight
As light breaks in to kiss the night

As dawn awakens our treasured dream
It begins again, the dream that’s seen.
