Inter-Galactic

breathing like the ocean's tide
rising falling as we ride
crests of waves of waves of love
beyond the Earth we rise above

the atmosphere, the Earth's thin veil
into deep space away we sail
electric currents move us on,
on and on until we've gone

into the plasma in between
every star we've ever seen
cosmic and electrically
forming our spiral galaxy -

faster, further on we go
Andromeda's seductive glow
the guiding light as we then leave
the Milky Way as we achieve

the power to cross from here to there
arriving on a world somewhere
so far away we cannot think,
which seems to be the magic link

the way to move, the way to be
extra-ordinarily
both on Earth and far away
as Shakespeare said 'we're here to play'
