I absolutely get it, about the topic, it's a brutal one, and I don't technically "like" it either. October 10th was the recognition of World Suicide Prevention Day. I have had my life directly impacted by not being aware enough, perhaps not recognizing the signs when someone is struggling with that issue. Being left behind, suffering from a version of survivor's guilt, is something that I wouldn't wish on anyone, so I can only imagine what the pain feels like for anyone considering self harm. Bringing awareness to that issue and the importance of mental health care, in general, is paramount, in my opinion.

Negating taboos and ushering in understanding, with strong hopes for a future where everyone can find the proper and best possible care for their particular ailment. 🎗 - 💙

Sounds a little bit naive and lofty but a girl can dream.... *wink

This resonates with me deeply.

On a side note...  This indirectly reminds me of an avatar I had,
or more of a motif of multiple avatars of a hand breaking the surface
of the waters, throwing up a middle finger, one of my favorite symbols of defiance.  :)))

On side note to the side note...  I was watching this video of this person
coming out of the dentist office, in the trend where they film you afterwards,
(I once came out of the dentist office shadow boxing?  haha)
but yes...  she comes out and in the car she says:

"these are my last words...  Fuck you."

Ahahaha...

I must say that made me very happy, as those are possibly my last words, as well...

her friend then says "these are your last words, don't you think they
should have a more positive message?"

She just looks at her kind of like in an altered state of consciousness...

I've watched many of those 'after the dentist' clips because they're so hysterical but I've never seen that one, I bet you it was epic!!!... I relate, however I have a really bad affinity for swearing 🤬 so mine would probably have been Fuck You, MOTHERFUCKERS !! Kind of like Samuel L Jackson... Ha!!  He's one of my spirit animals..... 😏 👍🏻🤬✨

Agreed this is  powerful piece conveying such reality....
A great image too, that we can all identify with, within this context.

The stigma of suicide is extremely difficult for people to discuss, which is completely understandable. However to me, It's a scourge on society and given it's at epidemic proportions, an open and honest conversation is certainly needed. I deeply appreciate you communicating your feelings here. I think it's very important for everyone to speak up and discuss this topic openly and with thoughtful consideration. Destigmatizing is key, in hopes that people who are actually contemplating self-harm reach out anyway they can BEFORE doing something that's irreversible and wholly regrettable.

I am so grateful you found the image and words were of some impact. That means a lot.

The life preserver - A nice warm bath with a cup bit of chamomile tea; a thorough back, shoulder and neck massage; and being the little spoon until the tide goes back out.

Sometimes it's the sweetest little things that are able to pull us back from the ledge....
