amiss

she snuck by quietly
a shadow
hung off in the corner
fluttering
in winds so strong last may

i felt needed
as we had slipped away

confused
confined
left within the clutter
clouded and consuming

trembled
marks masking misgivings
another darkened day

i stare into the ether
eternally gone astray
noting
what if this is it
nothing

languid, amiss
it remains
a mess
life
she no longer stays
