One Mistake

If there's one mistake I made,
it's forgetting that I  love you,
forgetting that I need you so.

If there's one mistake I made,
it's forgetting to say thank you,
forgetting that you never said no.

I don't regret many things,
my life is pretty fulfilled,
but the one mistake that I made,
was taking you for granted,
oh the seeds were planted,
and I should have seen this coming,
the one mistake I made,
was letting you go.

If there's one mistake I made,
it's forgetting to hold you,
when the night was cold and dark.

If there's one mistake I made,
it's forgetting to be there for you,
forgetting to be there in the hour of need.

I don't regret many things,
my life is pretty fulfilled,
but the one mistake that I made,
was taking you for granted,
oh the seeds were planted,
and I should have seen this coming,
the one mistake I made,
was letting you go.

Took you for granted,
Let somebody else take you away,
it's true what they say,
you don't know what'cha got til it's gone...

I don't regret many things,
my life is pretty fulfilled,
but the one mistake that I made,
was taking you for granted,
oh the seeds were planted,
and I should have seen this coming,
the one mistake I made,
was letting you go.
