Greetings, M'Friend 🍁
It's nice to see you today, Syr, and to receive such a skillfully rendered review … a poem in itself, and from the prey's point of view, nonetheless … very cleverly crafted, indeed; one might say, "Foxy!" 🙄
Thanks for dropping by and gifting my heart a chuckle! ⁓ Richard 🍃

Beatific visual, Richard.
I've always been enthralled by foxes, so this month's theme really impressed upon me the opportunity to showcase that love.
This piece is a lovely haiku that really made me smile.
I enjoyed the whole package thoroughly!

Thank you, Susan Dear 🌞
For your most gracious review.
Yes, it's obvious the specially felt affinity foxes hold within your heart and caring thoughts; for, it is easily perceived from the adoration in your words of review and your writing … I, too, feel a certain rapport with our charmingly mysterious little friend, the Fox.
Here's hoping you slept well, Dear Poetess, with the most lovely of dreams 😌
I am more than happy to have made you smile*
Just look … even your reviews inspire me!
Happy hugs to thee! x0x ⁓ Richard 🍃

Hi Richard, really beautiful. The visual is so perfect for the words. I love all animals and foxes are so interesting and amazing creatures. How many sayings there are using Fox is a testament to this lovely animal and your Haiku is a great tribute. Really like the Japanese words as well. Great stuff!

dear Richard
i enjoy the subtilty of how your poem in its entirety
feels as if it is a translation from Japanese whisper
a warm smile
silent lotus

No matter what color the mouse wears, the sharp witted ol' fox can always find it. You painted that well. And the graphic is quite nice. The mouse on the pine cone. Knowing the esoteric meaning of the pine cone, and how I was also, for many years, like a mouse, the picture has a fine meaning for me. But the meaning of the universe being to be what it is, all things, "good," and "bad" in the mix, the highest and the deepest meanings feel so often to me as empty as anything else. I "reached for the secret too soon." I found it. But I have denied myself the pain-relief that the Kandalini serpent could provide, if only I would do the practices needed to invoke it. Why? Why? Oh, again, I am using your poetry for this...I never do this. It's just this moment, in my journey, and I saw you standing there, with your poetry, the type of which I might have written in my early days, but you are an experienced poet, and a professor of poetry, no less, so your use of themes such as elemental romance must have some actual experience behind them. Or maybe not, in which case...you're a dreamer, and you haven't lost the dream of poetic youth, in which case, I can only imagine it is a great source of alleviating happiness for you. I stopped writing, mostly, a long time ago. I use wine. I have no elemental love interest, though I have been deep into it for half my life. And I've never been with an actual woman, to boot, and I'm 35. But you are a beautiful poet, and that makes my day...well, five minutes of my day, here and there.
