You said the words I can't say back
But we're like magnets, can't be apart
We've been together through so much
Not having feelings for you hurts
 
You were with me when everyone left
You did for me what no one else will
You were the one I gave my first
The only one that cared about me
 
It's not what you say but what you do  
That makes it painful not loving you
I know it isn't fair and I swear it has been tough  
Because I really like you, but it will never be enough  
 
You say you love me for what you see
How are you so sure that this is real?
I am broken and I am shallow
My soul is covered by a shadow  
 
If there was something I could do
I'd change my feelings to love you  
I don't deserve the way you smile
You deserve more than this hollow heart
