THE DARK

Beginning to forget
The remembrance of Summer
The taste of her last kiss
Her embrace amidst the thunder

What have I done?

I cannot take
The cards I’ve been dealt
I do not want this Hell
You cannot give
What you took from me
I only see what’s in the dark

Oh God
I cannot see you
I’ll never see you
So dead in my heart
Goddamn
You cannot see me
You’ll never see me
So gone in the dark

Then in a flash of light
The dismemberment of Summer
Darkness consumes us all
And I stain my hands with murder

What have I done?
I didn’t mean to
To hurt you harms myself
I’m living death
And escaped the sun
Become hell in the dark

Oh God
I cannot see you
I’ll never see you
So dead in my heart
Goddamn
You cannot see me
You’ll never see me
So gone in the dark

PRAY FOR SALVATION
IN THIS DAMNATION
HERE AMONG THE STORM
IN TREPIDATION

feel myself changing

SOMEHOW FIND THIS HEART
THAT HAS TURNED TO STONE
FIND ME IN THE DARK
FORGIVE ME, KILL ME

I’M ALREADY GONE

pierce the night
with retribution flame
this suffering
JUST END THE PAIN

Why have you forsaken me, God?
Everything’s lost in madness
Fill the rivers with dismembered
Nothingness is what I’ve become
