Missing In Plain Sight

None of you realized that I was saying my goodbyes
Guess it was to much to look at the pain in these eyes
Or to watch a moment in this borrowed time as it flies
I must have been speaking in tongues as my faith cries
When the flames have settled & the smoke has become clear
I burnt these bridges so you see the orphan drowned under the pier
I just have to ask you how does it feel to become this insincere
To you I was never dear & to me this is the end that I fear

We are the peace that found a will to be kidnapped by a internal fight
We are the light continuing to hide within a cold dark shadowy night
We are the wrongs in the middle that can’t make a right
We are the lost hope that went missing in plain sight

It’s living in black & white yet I’m stuck here in the gray
It’s giving in to stay when you know you should run away
Here I write all these words you will never hear me say
Here I read a map to paradise but I can’t find my way
Behind this truth is a past holding onto all of this pain
Behind those lies is a future that covers feelings in rain
Me turning to the right is always going against the grain
Now I will keep myself together while my heart goes insane

We are the peace that found a will to be kidnapped by a internal fight
We are the light continuing to hide within a cold dark shadowy night
We are the wrongs in the middle that can’t make a right
We are the lost hope that went missing in plain sight

We can’t be inspiration when we are lying in desperation
We can’t be invincible while we are seen as being invisible
We can’t be grateful always surrounded by the hateful
We can’t be conviction until we finally stop living in fiction
