Bare Naked Ladies

 
I was naked  
[bare fkn naked]  
baring all  
of my truth  
in vulnerability  
 
and for only  
a moment  
I was afraid  
of being seen  
until I decided  
noone would even  
recognize me  
I got into the  
driver’s seat  
you [who?] got into  
the other side  
because we had  
to abide [mother  
says so] so I drove  
us to the scene  
while weeping  
 
I arrive next  
at this house  
I guess it’s my  
family home  
fittingly, I feel  
so alone  
I am, afterall
as mother says:  
“Alien”  
so I stay in  
the basement  
overhearing  
the sounds
of deception unfold
as they twist words  
[brother n sister]  
and I try
telling Mom  
but she too is  
twisted around  
blind and bound  
 
so I take  
all my things  
out of angst  
and move into  
a new bedroom  
secret space  
all my own  
 
but then  
that final straw  
breaks it all  
as my family  
has taken over  
the sacred place  
I’ve just created  
they’ve tarnished it  
disrespectful filth
and I’m  
fucking livid  
but as usual  
it’s damn near  
impossible to
express my distress  
I try to stab  
I try to hit  
nothing works  
but at last  
 
I find a lighter  
and grab Mom  
by her dress  
I set the fire  
thinking clearly  
“they all  
must now see  
their fucking  
hypocrisy”  
oozing with  
insincerities  
 
I’ve won and  
I’m fucking done  
with [you] God  
damn sheep
