My Forevermore
My forevermore, do you remember the first day we met
Your smile, your voice, your poetry shined through such romantic nightly texts
As time allowed, it drew us closer together
You were the love of my life, my rock, my salvation through the stormy weather
You elevated my mind when I was feeling unsure or down
Tender stolen kisses when no one was around
Passionate love making, as your hungry lips hushed my climatic sounds
Tasting champagne droplets from off my soft lips
Two heartbeats echoed of its pure eternal bliss
No other love can define such a beautiful wish
Then the insecurities began to gradually sink in
A misunderstanding is how your trust issues first begin
The cadence of my past continued with injustice of its due
What happened to love, my sincerest emotions I’ve devoted mainly to you
A day in time never mattered about my questionable past
Labeling the foundation of our love a wasted blast
My heart an emotional outcast
The silence, and then the mistrust, you’ve now thrown in the towel
Punishing my heart for my previous behavior of disavowal
How could we ever move past this
When loud voices in union speaks of an it’s ugly reminisce
I looked up into your dark brown eyes, I see the unwavering hurt
Desires generating between us, yet without emotional rebirth
Look me in my eyes
And tell me why
Mistrust now applies
Do you recall when our souls once blended
My heart, body, mind, and soul were always in it
Lost sparks for us no longer mending
Love and hate words we’re now sending
Sentiments to feel are so fragile, so weak
The uncertainties when you touch me, tells me what your mouth cannot speak
We fell in love, yes, it was written among the stars from the start
Now you look upon me with fear to trust in your heart
Have we both lost control, the momentum of what could never be
Retained emotions, the desires, the passion that once brought us to our knees
The breath to love you, surrendered unto me to feel, to see
Unfounded trust issues have compressed our love, now we refuse to breath, believe
Locking us in the realm of destiny as we sadly transcend
Smothering flames of our beautiful union now dances in the wind
Reach out and love me, touch me once again
The melody of you and I have no beginning or have no end
Your smile, your voice, your poetry shined through such romantic nightly texts
As time allowed, it drew us closer together
