guatemalan gazelle

she sits next to me smelling like orange blossoms
reminding me of summer and all of the awesome
it’s a saturday night and we’ve partied hard
the looks in-between, the moments bombard
I respect the friendship but this is testing
as I’ve placed my hands on her legs, they are resting
I find myself between a rock and my hard place
she has an elegance, a gazelle with fine grace
but I am gentleman and I see something deeper
slow and steady, she may just be a keeper
