Where has time gone?

Where has time gone?
It seems like only yesterday I was playing on the playground.
Oh how I want those days to return.
For a second chance at my life.
Just one shot to make things turn out differently.
For things to turn out better.

Where has time gone?
It seems like only yesterday i would sit on your lap and watch T.V.
Now I'd be surprised if I said one nice thing to you.
I'm sorry for the attitude.
For the neglect.
All I want is to just say how much I love you.
Because you say it to me.

Where has time gone?
I used to play soccer with my brother.
But now all that I have is anger towards you.
Oh how I wish we could get along.
For the fights to stop.
For my hands to stop hurting.
I wish for a better relationship.
I really do.

Where has time gone?
Boys had cooties and we just wanted friends.
We wanted to be happy.
To get good grades and that new toy.
I yearn for the less complicated days of my youth.

Where has time gone?
My mind now floats and my legs don't work.
It's hard to remember when this feeling only came from dreaming.
When pain meant a scrape on the knee.
And when death seemed like a million miles away...

I want to go back so badly.
To stop the lie that is my life.
To believe in good again.
To run and jump in the rain without reason.
To talk to my parents.
To play with my brother.
To not lie.
To have a true friend.
To love with no pressure.
And above all to be myself around everyone at every moment of time.

Some one please explain,
Where the time has gone...
