Yin Yang

I'm just like you and you're just like me  
We play to win and for the thrill of it  
The chill that creeps into our skin when we look into the eyes of defeat  

How can we be the same when we're so different?  

The way you do what you think is right, so unlike me who takes everything I see and does what I want and what I need  
The way you accept and I deny  
The fact you beg when I only plead  
The way that I boss around while you lead  
The fact you follow destiny while I do as I please  
The way you don't trust no one and I trust everyone  
The fact you don't ever ask for help while I gladly take anyone's hand  

And how can we be so different when we're the same?  

The fact that we're both insane and have no shame  
The way we do everything with pride even when we do something as simple as stride  
The fact we drive each other up the wall and then a second later act like nothing happened at all  
The way when life strikes us down we strike back and counter attack with all we have  

We don't think twice before we jump and we don't beat around the bush  
We go straight to the point and aim for the heart because that's where it hurts  

I'm just like you and you're just like me  
But if two lines are parallel it means they will never meet  
If we are too different then why do Yin and Yang coexist?  
They are one not two  
Completing each other while creating the worlds most perfect two piece puzzle  

We are different skies on the same map  
You’re my other side  
The apple of my eye  
The Yin to my Yang  
The blue to my sky  
The happy to my end  
My kiss in the rain  

And we are the same  
The same but different  

I am just like you and you're just like me
We are one like the line where the sky meets the sea
