I AM STILL LEARNING

DISCOVERY

I use to think
I knew it all until
someone asked
me a question.

When I swaggered down
the steps of the university
with my BA in my hand,
the world said, "Sit down
and I'll teach you the
rest of the alphabet."

WAKE-UP

It has been a wonderful
journey since the day
I realized how wonderful
it is to be a continual
learner in the never
ending School of Life.

I'm still learning to live
every day admiring the
beauty in the garden
of life where I have been planted.
The thrill of rebirth all around me.

I'm still learning to see with
fresh eyes the beauty and
the uniqueness of no two
persons being the same,
but each a walking miracle
gifted with something I admire.

I'm still learning the importance
of character, integrity, differences
people are allowed to hold,
express, and live; weaving
them into the tapestry of my life.

I'm still learning the gift of having
friends, colleagues, leaders,
lovers, guides, correctors,
models, rebukers, and others
who dare to share a concern for me.

I'm still learning the value of
living one day at a time;
the thrill of climbing a new
mountain, swimming in
a new river, lake, and ocean;
the joy of exploring.

I'm still learning the amazing
discovery of daring to explore
and removing the boundaries
set by men relative to venturing
into the sharing of love, passion,
and saying yes to all desires.

I am a lifelong learner
in the School of Life,
always open, ready, and
receptive to new lessons;
always waiting for
new teachers to share
