Words that rid my world of the vengeful scourge
Day and night I find the urge to purge
It leads me in search
On a quest to build my so called nest
Of fallen leaves and twigs unraked
Passionate scenes that make pleasure water break
Soothing balm for the soul with an ache
 
Their pen dipped in liquid gold
Touching all senses with their treasures told
The good the bad and the dark to the deep
Leaving my peaches as a reminder that what I read is mine to keep
