Words

Words are the ultimate tool
but, a dangerous weapon in the hands of a fool
They can motivate a person to kill
or give a love one a thrill
America’s forefathers they did inspire
to lay the foundation for our empire
The Romance period poets used them to fill our hearts with desire
and the in minds of Kerouac and Burroughs they fueled a fire
They are the lyrics of many a song
played on the radio all day long
A priceless precious pearl
in a letter to a homesick boy or girl

As you can see
they are a gift from GOD to me
