Nobody talks of Layne Staley
But they talk of Kurt Cobain daily.
Despite his demise,
Layne opened more eyes,
Yet still gets ignored! That's some fail, eh?

Very true and Layne was so much more tragic and less self absorbed. But man I want more. I've never seen a Layne Staley poem before. The last years of his life are so anonymous and tragic. I'd like to see more. How about it. Got more? Got speedballs for skeletons?

Many thanks for taking time to comment. My knowledge of the life and times of layne are not up to spec. This poem was inspired by a conversation on the Kurt / Layne imbalance in the media. I am only sorry that it was reduced to the form of a limerick, but it was a spur of the moment job having seen a mention of it being Kurt's birthday.
