REALLY, FALLING IN LOVE?
Most of us remember or
continue to see the commercial
where the lady says,
"I have fallen and can't get up".
I remembering falling
into a boobie trap prepared
for wild game; and falling
out of a tree as a boy.
Neither was exciting or desired;
they were ACCIDENTS.
Every day people fall for
scams created for the gullible.
It appears that at some time
falling became associated with
LOVE.
Was it referencing a trap,
scheme, loss of control,
blindness, or some other
"accident" over which there
was no control?
When I said "I fell for her"
what did I mean? Did I
lose all control over my
emotions and cognitive ability?
Was I "hooked on a feeling"?
Was it caused by my glands?
Is love only the result of
FALLING?
Yes, I know my linguistic
romantic friends will say, "Well,
it all depends on what you mean
by "falling in love"?
Maybe that's true.
What do YOU think?
Personally, I had rather
MOVE UP to love than
fall into love! :)
