Some day
Some day
I may
act
to do something more than nothing
one day
I may
become
the man I see when my eyes are closed
my future
is engraved
on my heart I fear to look at
my fear
lives
on the remembrance of past failures
my past
are chains
holding my feet to earth
my spirit
yearns
to travel the heavens
my goal
is to be
stronger
to hold the flame of my being higher
my desire
is to be
a guiding star for others to follow
my dream is
to love
and find a flame equal to my own
to travel the heavens as we light our own path

Sometimes in my poems, there are words that I feel so deeply. I feel that "yearn" in yours! Thank you for sharing yourself.
