The Rook
Awakened
by the caw
of an omens crow
forsaken
by the raven
sent by Allen Poe
you're now under-taken
to your grave
right from your home
inscriptions old
and chiselled
are bold with mould
in stone
they seem to have been
written
with your name
long ago
there's a hell feathered rook
he takes flight all alone
above the wilted flowers
from the breath of death
that blow
cadavers beckon
from the belfry
as they toll
a dull and groaning
church bell
hell town, dulcet tone.
Spectres
on the crispy grass
they gather, drifting
whispering fast
you are an offering
promised from the past
by I
the demon waiting ,the rook
of blood stained glass
my carrion of corpse
will join yours
from life's claw and clasp
are you ready
for me baby
together , forever
at last.
