The Dark

The dark.
Welcome to my silent escape.
Please enter and bring me your loss.

The dark.
Where pleasures of flesh belong.
By now we must know of those costs!

The dark.
No hint of light behind your eyes
as upon my bed our limbs are tossed.
Our dry twigs crack underfoot
as loss meets loss.
My empty seeks you for its filling.

The dark, but with a glistening sheen.
Your empty eyes stare down
at the shine of my cock now rising
for your pleasure.

The dark, but for a sparkle.
A tear forms upon your cheek
as somber lips possess me.
I press your cooling tear against my stomach
and feel its salty wetness, a sign of life.
I trust you taste my saltiness, too,
and feel the heat of a living soul.
Hot puffs of frantic air,
and then you pull away and sigh.
It seems we both still want to live,
if only to share this night.

Forgive me, but this hardened lusting tool
is all that remains of what
once expressed my love.
