Of “agua fiestas” be wary
those have-dark-cloud-will-travel minions
sure on your party to rain
their dastardly designs
in charm holstered, concealed carry
quick draw ready caustic opinions
their aim to despirit, demoralize
preying on vulnerable minds

Instead cherish the soul builders
whom, like a comfy brassiere,
lift and support
their sisters and brothers
ones who recognize,
and accentuate
the good in others
that care unconditionally
and love without fear

I commiserated today with a colleague who is working with a particularly despicable character that was, at one time, my coworker as well. This individual is a real spirit-crusher that informed this poem...I didn't want to write inspired because that would elevate somewhat the encounters with said character,

Omg... I feel like my most recent poem is this poems kin... it's kinda comparable 'adjacent'... hahaha...

Your writing skills are so honed, IMO.
I need that attention to vocabulary and structure, I think... lol... I really enjoyed this piece and felt like we all may know someone similar... right? Or maybe it's just my misfortune... hahaha 😂.

btw... I forget to use it but damn how I love the word dastardly... I'm stealing that for future writes!!! 👍🏻 ☺️
