WHAT'S A HUE TO DO?

Often I wonder if much has really changed
Because the fruit still looks awfully strange
No longer hang but get a bang for their buck
Once upon a dying time we seem to be stuck

Roses being plucked up outta concrete cracks
The narratives continue to say black on black
Like they lack the views of what the others do
The right shoe that fits the news is hue on hue

Hues turning blue means crews can't breathe
Knocked off our feet as our oxygen depletes
Six feet deep after the reaper creeps through
What'd you do if guns were pointed at you?

Continue being patient with complacency?
Waiting on Lady Justice to fill her vacancies
Seems like she's finally choosing to convict
Yet, how long will time's hands actually tick?

Will she give 'em more than Vick with his dogs?
Or just a slap on his wrist as if he is Boss Hog?
Will pipes remain clogged & refusing to drain?
Wondering if asking these questions is in vain
