Priests and pedophilia

Abuse of the innocent is and historically has been endemic within every species and every brand of organized religion. From Roman Catholic, to Orthodox Jewish, to Southern Baptist, to Hindu, to Amish, to Moslem, to Lutheran, to...ad infinitum. From large institutional churches to the smallest, most humble congregations. You have Hierarchical situations built around respect of traditions that men are the ultimate (and quite usually, even if only implicitly) the *only* arbiters of spiritual, temporal, and moral authority. As if that concept is not bad enough on its own, power and authority draw sociopaths. A significant minority percentage worth. And patriarchal hierarchies, schematically so, fundamentally do exactly such things as hide problems within the ranks. Roman Catholicism, of course, is the largest institutional religion in the so called Western Hemisphere of our World. Thats a big fucking hierarchy. The absolute requirement of celibacy, as well, adds an extra kink into theirs, but all of these goddamn religions are so sex negative, it's just like, they're set up to attract this kind of uglyness into their ranks.

Have hope. Humanity is changing.

They go out of their way to hide the truth and move these people around secretly only to expose more kids. It's pretty fucked up.
