Hollow Castles
In days of old
great kings built castles
and fortresses of stone,
watch for hearth and home,
but those are all gone
and time has tolled.
Glory has past
the legacy faded,
by the leaf and vine
with line wane and ended,
the spirit diluted
they could not last.
Castles hollow
void of kith or kin,
all gone are the guards,
their fellowship lost
abandoned to time,
in gloom wallow.
