Where truth hides
Down below
Truth lies hidden
Underneath fraudulent emotions
Who shroud the secrets
With deceptive covers
They put on a good show
For all to see
While secretly hiding
Their dark doppelgangers
Those true feelings
Only rise to the surface
When no one else is around
These feelings are...
The one's who want to suffocate
And break you down
The one's who want to take a little bit of
Life everytime they arise
The one's who want to keep you hidden
And all alone
Till you become uncomfortable
In your own home
The one's who, if you let them,
Will one day
Demand your very life
And you so broken, beaten down and alone will freely give it up. Just to stop the suffering.

Having been there on occasion myself, I'd say this is a most excellent description. Those dark feelings are sneaky buggers; they sure know how to dress up & hide in happy colours, waiting for the chance to pull you down.
