Forever Embedded in a Poets Heart

A poet may formulate your love
As the body of their poetry
And incorporate your relationship
As a subject in their story
Where every word
Is a description of who you are
You will be imperceptibly affected
Reconstructing  the best and worst parts of you into rhymes and times
Pondering upon versus of
Passionate moments
Light hearts and smiles
And the rivers of tears
In the forms of prose
That stretches for miles
They listen very close
To every word you speak
Paying  close attention
Keen to every detail
Of your actions and behavior
Accepting your imperfections
They will hold you
On your promises
Your dreams, hopes,
And failures
They will often stare
Into space and time
Of no place
While writing their poetry
They become miffed
When their thoughts
Are interrupted
Leaving you longing
For their attention
Time and love
They may be fastened  for days
Suffering from
White blank dread
And often stay up late
Writing for miles
Waking up in the mornings
With pens in their hands
And their heads on the desk
Because they refuse
To go to bed
If their poem is not done yet
A poet usually has a routine
And well organized
Yet manages to always
Keep you guessing
You’ll always be trying
To figure them out
Because they’re often
Considered to be mysterious
You will forever be embedded
In their hearts as you
Have became
Their inspiration to write
They will softly speak the
Words ‘I love you’
In a very peculiar way
Leaving it up to you
To read in between the lines
And understand
The hidden clues
When a poet falls in love
They fall deep into the abyss
They know where their home and where their heart is
A poets passion is to write
Sharing their story
Touching the lives of their readers in some profound way
Just as you have too touched the life of a poet
