Say Goodbye to Yesterday's Past

say goodbye to yesterday’s past―
to all the days that were the last.
former times of joy and oblivion
replay in tunes of an elegy season.

prideful days cease revival.
the sun sets to a somber trial—
the moon—laments cry on the fallen.
farewells seemed to be forgotten.

a previous self is lost in the sky.
stars of remembrance weep bitter cries;
a void’s up high in the melancholy air
grim to those who seek passage there.

the dead sulk in their hidden graves.
crepuscular ghosts of a timeline fade,
lost like the infinite sepulchral waves,
forever swaying in empty dismays.
