The Songbird
Little songbird the world has made you forget how to sing
With all of it’s sadness & constant storms it has tried to destroy you
Bravely you fly against the raging wind hoping to find your song again
The storm has crashed & thrashed & blown you off course
Still you fly; memories of the sun your driving force
It’s beautiful light sparkles in your eyes
Soon you will come out the other side
The sun will shine, the winds will die & you will remember how to sing your song again
