I think this has to be one of the most empathic writes I've ever read. Undoubtedly children are born with so much love to give and receive; and many are met with cold slabs of indifference.

'genetic burden'.. how powerfully put in minimalist heaviness- these two words esp. & the countable verses.. juz saw this in the comp. & you did this your style - striking & stirring - best for comp. & thanks for the share :)
