Pretending I'm on the phone
Talking to no one
I'll admit it's pretty lame
I'm singing all alone
Trying to find that tone
I don't know how to play this game
I'm singing all alone
Like I do everything else
Couples together in heaven
I'm alone in this hell
No one hears my voice
No one cares at all
No one
To catch me when I fall
I never wanted to spend my life alone
But here I am
Sinking like a stone
Into a whirlpool of introspection
Nothing to see but me
I'd stand in the middle of an intersection
Just to talk to someone
But here I am

You really did a wonderful job conveying the loneliness, those last two lines are like an echo.... accentuating perfectly.

The isolation has been the pits. I’m sorry we’ve all had to live it. Aside from the sadness behind it you definitely have a good rhythm throughout. Looking forward to putting all of this in the past tense. You’ve written a very solid write for the present moment capturing the extreme loneliness.

All alone and never alone. We got ourselves at all times, solitude isn't always that bad, embrace yourself

Glad you liked it. I've not had as hard time dealing with it as my friends have. The poem was based on talks with them, and what they were going through. I myself had to quit reading poems here though. It seemed like every poem on here was depressing, and it was bringing me down. Like everyone else, can't wait for this to be over.
