Dear love, I hope this letter finds you well.

Tonight, I prayed,
I know I may not always be there
to hold your hand and show you how much I care,
to wipe away your every tear,
or see that smile in your stare.

I pray you always know I love you,
On days you are down,
on the verge of your breakdown,
When you feel like you've drown
where misery can only be explained with a frown,
and on days you feel unfit to slay your crown.

I pray that you may draw strength from my love,
On days you feel like you've got this life thing on fleek,
and happiness is all you speak,
high on your peak,
and you cannot be let down by any amount of critique.

I pray that you see how proud I am of you,
When you feel insufficient,
or don't feel that consistent
or thinking you are inefficient,
and when you are not receiving enough acknowledgement.

I pray that you know that I value all your efforts,
Sometimes we will have it tough,
but it will not always be rough,
Sometimes we will lack some stuff,
but most times we will have enough.
