Once upon a dream I had, I found the perfect Rose, every petal truly perfect, where she came from heaven only knows

Such a rare beauty, whose like I'd never seen before, the moment that I saw her, my heart cried out for more

This Rose stood out above the rest, her colour brighter than the rest, her fragrance was so delicate, she simply was the best

Everyone who saw this Rose, a breath from them was stole, a gasp of astonishment, as they passed her on their stroll

No one ever tried to steal the Rose, she grew so wild and free, sharing her beauty with the world but especially with me

I knew they would all stop and stare, her beauty shone out bright, but I was the only one she came to, in my dreams at night

So look upon my pretty Rose, then you might as well just walk on by, you may want her for yourself, please go ahead and try

Because I'm not standing there, like a Knight guarding his loving Royal Queen, don't think you can take her, because she lives within my dream

In my dreams there's just me and her my Rose who has another name, though forever kept a secret, so the rest can guess in vain

Only I know the Roses true name, I hide it deep within my heart, I hope one day she realises, it's been her from the start
