A Passage
waiting
at the edge of the abyss
stopped heart
serenaded by echoes
of them
who howl with sorrow and regret
did they go astray
did I
and if so from where
I'm waiting, eons
listening to soughing wind
staring into the darkness
watching quiet reflections
from the memory
of thousands of yesterdays
and watching with minds eyes
the winding road of thousands of tomorrows
crossing over without gentle hands
helping and comforting
no whispers of encouragement
just shaky footsteps
moving along the cliffs
in deep loneliness
I can swim in the sea to Atlantis
shed tears of blood
swallow bitter grief
but not able to seduce
the promise of karma for rebirth
a love story unwritten
no consummations even in Maya
empty pages
at the edge of the abyss
stopped heart
serenaded by echoes
of them
who howl with sorrow and regret
did they go astray
did I
and if so from where
I'm waiting, eons
listening to soughing wind
staring into the darkness
watching quiet reflections
from the memory
of thousands of yesterdays
and watching with minds eyes
the winding road of thousands of tomorrows
crossing over without gentle hands
helping and comforting
no whispers of encouragement
just shaky footsteps
moving along the cliffs
in deep loneliness
I can swim in the sea to Atlantis
shed tears of blood
swallow bitter grief
but not able to seduce
the promise of karma for rebirth
a love story unwritten
no consummations even in Maya
empty pages
