Is delivery an option? It's what I use now. I would prefer shopping on my own; however . . .

An unreasonable and unnecessary imposition -- but maybe the old whicker or canvas shopping trolley could make a comeback?

Surely stores offer home delivery. or some kind soul in your area. I know in our big city there are even social services out there available.
