Uncle said he spoke with you and joked with you
That you were in great spirits these last few days
He said you didn’t suffer much or maybe not at all
But it sounds like you were in spiritual grace

Too much time and distance passed between us
Ever since those days at the old family farm
But all I can say is rest in peace grandmama
I’m sure dad welcomed you with open arms
