Immortality
You said, immortality meant never dying,
But now I know that you were lying.
As everyone fades away,
we have to always stay
and never can we sway,
but my heart has gone astray.
You told me we will see,
who's free and who will never be.
Who was it, that never knew?
Was it us, was it me and you?
As times change and the world rotates,
and everyone we love leaves this place,
we stay together, live our lie.
And all along we hope, that someday we will die.
But now I know that you were lying.
As everyone fades away,
we have to always stay
and never can we sway,
but my heart has gone astray.
You told me we will see,
who's free and who will never be.
Who was it, that never knew?
Was it us, was it me and you?
As times change and the world rotates,
and everyone we love leaves this place,
we stay together, live our lie.
And all along we hope, that someday we will die.
