I Only Want
I only want your ache in my own,
The initial feeling of coming to life in a bottle...
In the backseat
of your car
reaching for air from skin,
the calm of the rain
in our veins
as it beat down on the windshield.
The way the music blinded us from weighing in on the outer limits.
I only want your ache in my own,
The initial touch of night parked in the middle of everything....
In the front seat
of your car
smoking our minds dry of fragilities,
the heat of the rising sun resting on the windshield,
watching me in your lap
glistening to the beat of your heart.
The way peace found home in each others arms.
I only want your heart as my own.
The initial feeling of coming to life in a bottle...
In the backseat
of your car
reaching for air from skin,
the calm of the rain
in our veins
as it beat down on the windshield.
The way the music blinded us from weighing in on the outer limits.
I only want your ache in my own,
The initial touch of night parked in the middle of everything....
In the front seat
of your car
smoking our minds dry of fragilities,
the heat of the rising sun resting on the windshield,
watching me in your lap
glistening to the beat of your heart.
The way peace found home in each others arms.
I only want your heart as my own.
