The Mortality Of Time
This playground
Now overgrown
Looks so sad
In its disrepair
Silent despair
This place
I learned to laugh
Found happiness
In the simple
Innocent things
Now i've forgotten
Those days
Echoes that taunt
The misery
I have collected
Will i ever
Have the chance
To smile again
Tho i've beaten
Millions of hurtful heartbeats
The vacancy
Behind my eyes
Feelings of abandonment
Tighten around
My chest
I let the world
Trample on the past
Old eyes carry
Unshed tears
Waiting to fall
Now overgrown
Looks so sad
In its disrepair
Silent despair
This place
I learned to laugh
Found happiness
In the simple
Innocent things
Now i've forgotten
Those days
Echoes that taunt
The misery
I have collected
Will i ever
Have the chance
To smile again
Tho i've beaten
Millions of hurtful heartbeats
The vacancy
Behind my eyes
Feelings of abandonment
Tighten around
My chest
I let the world
Trample on the past
Old eyes carry
Unshed tears
Waiting to fall
