Hope Springs Internal
So much negativity pricking my skin with external anxiety
While hope fights back from within my bloodied philosophy
Thorns piercing my brow threatening my unholy mind
As the sun also rises after the starry night has burned my windows blind
Awakening to a new kind of dawn when false prophesies go silent
Finally released from the cage of my own bars of dark confinement
There is a brightness enlightening my spirit to possibilities
An eternal spring erupts from the core of my insecurities
Washing away the flames that turned my heart to smoke and ashes
Resurrected from a caterpillar to flutter by as a swarm of pashas
Finding life renewed to view the world from a higher perspective
For what is philosophy but an unseen future that is reflective?
