darkness descends within my thoughts
and I wonder
is it me or the universe
is everyone so dark?

little spikes of madness color me evil
is it me or the devil
I reason within I cast a shadow
it can't be me, could it?

in the recesses lies a troubled soul
to what end I don't know
flickers the pain and I spiral further
down into the void
where true insanity resides

inside the crimson corridor you can hear them
my demons
laughter echos off the walls
it's a show of bravado

no one is happy here
I come here when I'm saddened
I don't why
has the darkness always been with me?
