If I was a bird
I would fly away
, but then where would I go? I dont know
Usually some have dreams a direction
So it seems but not I
I would just fly...till my arms got tired or till I realize how stupid I look flapping my arms.
And more than likely it would be mid flight
That cartoon moment of realizing I dont have wings
(Yes I've slept)
Just random thoughts

Diz, this is beautiful! I feel like you and I have been at odds and slinging dirty for some time now,
but I am here to just admire you and this heartbreaking poem. I'm sorry for always getting into it with you.
And thank you for sharing what I see as something so vulnerable and earnest.
I really appreciate this.

This is a wonderful piece... A food for thought... I think it resonates with most of us... At least, it does with me...
A desire to fly like a bird symbolises the yearning for freedom...an escape from our problems n sufferings... May be an opportunity to break free from the current mundane, boring, clichéd life.. And venture into the unknown... Unknown territory.. Unknown people or situation... A mere thought of that unknown fills us not only with a sense of adventure n thrill but also seems a prospect for happiness that we have been seeking unconsciously our whole life...
I love the dry humour in this poem.. I love the fact that how some people can find humour in the worst of their situations and have a laugh at it... And that's a great trait... A wonderful way to cope with tribulations of life...
I usually dnt leave a long comment.. But this piece got me thinking.
Thanks for sharing 😊
