Lullaby
Kiss me softly on my cheek,
This may be the last we meet.
You hold me tightly in your arms,
And promise me to do no harm.
But I feel the grip getting tighter, and tighter,
And I feel my head getting lighter, and lighter.
I gaze into your soft blue eyes,
And know that this is goodbye.
You breathe me in, ‘till my last breath,
And hold me ‘till there’s nothing left.
I listen to your heart still beat,
As I drift into my sleep.
