Morning Dew
Like birds alight upon the sill
Which overlooks a garden view
Trill on winds their silvered song
Joyous the morning's come anew
So rise I from nocturnal dreams
The hours of which so swiftly flew
Memory's song and thought conspire
In longing for the touch of you
You like enchantment lost in sleep
Into my arms I gently drew
Marking each breath warm and at peace
As I soft kisses careless strew
Hasten the sun to light the day
The warmth of the sun wash o'er you
Stir and languidly stretch your arms
Then share sweet love in earnest true
Which overlooks a garden view
Trill on winds their silvered song
Joyous the morning's come anew
So rise I from nocturnal dreams
The hours of which so swiftly flew
Memory's song and thought conspire
In longing for the touch of you
You like enchantment lost in sleep
Into my arms I gently drew
Marking each breath warm and at peace
As I soft kisses careless strew
Hasten the sun to light the day
The warmth of the sun wash o'er you
Stir and languidly stretch your arms
Then share sweet love in earnest true
