Past The Honeymoon
I love you to the moon and back
But I think we’re pass the honeymoon
We’re over the “I Love You’s” and “I Love You Too’s”
Done with the sweet names we used to use
Make sure our house has several rooms
For sunny days that turn to gloom
When the air is poisoned from conflict’s fumes
I’ll reminisce on phases of the honeymoon
In a whole new place
In a brand new space
There are fewer smiles and less laughter
Now faced with insecurities and doubts that chatter
Louder and louder as it mentally collects
As the case unfolds and were prime suspects
We destroyed the honey and the moon
We we’re so different when we jumped the broom
But the love isn’t done, we’re just getting started
No matter the phase, with you is where my heart is
