Back Then
What day was it Back then
Was it all in a summer’s day
Your body was next to mine
Your ear against my heart beating away
Please tell me it was more than a gesture
Two pinkies interlocking holding tight
I never really wanted to let go
Your not here to kiss goodnight
I miss that old farm and softness of your face
If I could just go back for awhile
I hope you’re something time doesn’t erase
Was it all in a summer’s day
Your body was next to mine
Your ear against my heart beating away
Please tell me it was more than a gesture
Two pinkies interlocking holding tight
I never really wanted to let go
Your not here to kiss goodnight
I miss that old farm and softness of your face
If I could just go back for awhile
I hope you’re something time doesn’t erase
