How do i continue on
Your memory it haunts me
The night you proposed
Everything
Every smile etched in stone
There it will stay
It will never age
Forever be the same
My reminder of you
A band
Your last name
Not your hand
But a presence still remains
Maybe i am going a bit insane
Call me crazy
But i feel you when I sleep its almost comforting
I am still in disbelief
That your gone
Baby i am really trying to be strong
I am trying not to crumble
Tears stain my pillow
Tears stain my face
But in this picture
In this wedding band
In these memories
And now your presence still remains.

what i loved about this poem is this personal touch throughout the lines where you talk about this persons last name and a band without naming them, it communicates a double language only that person will know about and something else for the reader to wonder over which speaks volumes in this poem
