Take me back to the past

Baby please hold me again
Its cold
Its desolate
I just want to be wrapped in your embrace again
Can we go back to what we once were
The smiles
The good times
The laughs
Can we not be in the now and relive the past
There you are still here
You still hold me in your arms kiss me good night
Bite me and send shivers down my spine
Whisper your mine.
In the past we can hold hands lay naked under the stars
In the past we go caving have sex no matter where we are
In the past there is a blanket roses a dock by the lake
Where we were to start our forever
It didnt last
I dont want to be in the now
Lets go back to the past
painting our house and putting our wedding photo on the wall
Making fun of me for being short because tou were so tall
Cooking in the kitchen
Painting wars in our sun room
Why cant we go back to that
instead i sit on this empty bed
 going through pictures
The memories stuck in my head
Because there you are alive
There you didnt lose the fight
There you loved me and all was right.
