Of course, I had to read this, given my father lacked the sense to not give me the middle name of Adolph. Kids back in school got a lot of mileage out of that at my expense in multiple ways.

There've always been too many humans consumed with Self (ego). And the denser the population gets and the more we up the ante on "personal", material gain, the worse it's gonna be. I'm privileged that the "rest of my life" will be short, & likely i'll be able to miss the shit-hittin-the-proverbial-fan.
Ashamed to admit it, but I'm almost glad my dear Leah is gone & won't have to deal with wherever this Covid plague & the radical right are gonna take us. It ain't gonna be pretty. The majority of humans are not "essentially good". We've proven that time and time again.
